Forgery case on founder of OTT platform

MUMBAI: The Mulund police have registered a case of forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy against Akshay Bardapurkar, founder of OTT platform Planet Marathi, and three others of Rs 85 lakh.The FIR was registered on the directions of the Bombay high court on a petition filed by film producer Soumya Vilekar, who alleged that Bardapurkar and his associates fabricated a deed of reconstitution of partnership dated 3 October 2023, bearing her signature and photograph, and secured huge loans from banks.

Following the order, the Mulund police booked Bardapurkar, Manali Dixit, Dhaval Jayshuklal Shah, and notary public Dodha Daulat Ahire, among others.
