MAHA TET 2026 application deadline extended to April 24 | Pune News



Pune: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has extended the deadline for online application for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2026 to April 24.The exam is scheduled to be held on June 21. The extension comes after several aspirants requested more time to complete their applications. The earlier deadline was April 16.MSCE commissioner Mahesh Chothe announced the extension through an official circular, stating that candidates who could not complete the process earlier can now submit their forms within the revised timeline.The MAHA TET is conducted by the council to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools across the state. The previous TET examination was held on Nov 23, 2025, and the next cycle is being conducted within a relatively shorter gap to streamline recruitment.Officials said all related details, including govt resolutions, instructions, application process, fee payment and exam schedule, are available on the official website. Candidates have been advised to carefully read the guidelines before submitting their forms to avoid errors.The council has urged applicants not to wait until the last day to complete the process, as heavy traffic on the website could lead to delays or technical issues.
