Pune: A housewife, Swati Choudhari (27) of Dhayari, was allegedly killed by her father-in-law, who repeatedly banged her head against a wall around 11.30am on Saturday at their flat following an alleged domestic dispute.Senior police inspector Atul Bhos of Nanded City police said, “Choudhari’s father-in-law fled after locking the flat’s entrance door from the outside. We found her body in the bathroom. We have launched a search for him. Choudhari’s husband, a clerk at the Shivajinagar court, had left home on Saturday morning. Her father-in-law was present in the house and got into an argument with her. Based on our observations, we believe that the father-in-law entered the bathroom while she was washing clothes. He banged her head against the wall multiple times. Later, he picked up a stone used for washing clothes and struck her on the head. She has a six-month-old baby boy. Police and neighbours found the baby crying while his mother was lying motionless in the bathroom. We rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.”
