The trailer of Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film Kartavya was unveiled by the makers on Thursday (May 7, 2026). Written and directed by Pulkit, the film also stars Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi in pivotal roles.
The trailer introduces Saif as a sincere cop, Pawan, who is under intense scrutiny after failing to protect a journalist under his watch. As pressure mounts from his senior officers, Pawan is drawn into a relentless manhunt for the assailant that pulls him deep into a web of power and deception. Pawan is battered between doing his duty while tackling his personal issues as his family is threatened over a dispute involving his brother. The film promises to be a gritty crime thriller with hard-hitting dialogues.
Speaking about the film, Saif said in a statement, “What drew me to Kartavya is that it doesn’t offer easy answers; it puts you in uncomfortable spaces and forces you to ask what you would do when every choice comes at a personal cost. Working with Pulkit and the entire cast made this journey even more compelling and thrilling. It’s been especially exciting to collaborate with Red Chillies Entertainment for the first time on a project as layered as Kartavya.”

Produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, Kartavya is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15.
