Mumbai: A 37-year-old woman was arrested by the Dindoshi police in Mumbai for allegedly stealing jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh from her residence and planning to elope with her boyfriend, authorities said. The woman had initially filed a complaint alleging that the jewellery was missing.The case was registered on Aug 28 after a former civic employee and his wife reported the theft of jewellery from their Goregaon residence.During the investigation, police found no signs of forced entry, and the cupboard lock remained undamaged. When questioned, the homemaker suggested that her husband might have taken the jewellery and pawned it for money.Police examined the couple’s mobile call records and discovered that the homemaker was in contact with another man.
