Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma are often spotted visiting Premanand Maharaj to seek guidance and insights. The spiritual leader has guided the celebrated couple to focus on devotion, humility, and prioritising God while staying rooted in their personal and professional responsibilities. Now, in a resurfaced video on social media, the couple are seen listening attentively to Premanand Maharaj’s message about devotion, humility, and inner transformation.
In the video circulating online, Premanand Maharaj is seen asking the couple, “Prasann ho? (Are you happy?),” to which both Virat and Anushka respond affirmatively. The leader then shares a profound message centered on the nature of divine grace.
Premanand Maharaj emphasized that wealth and fame are not necessarily signs of God’s blessings. Instead, he explained, true grace lies in the transformation of one’s inner thinking and consciousness.
“When the Lord blesses someone, getting wealth is not a blessing, it is a result of good deeds. Even a sinner may have past good deeds that bring material success. But increasing fame or wealth is not considered the grace of God. The grace of God is reflected in changing the inner thinking,” he said.
Premanand Maharaj further added that real spiritual progress begins within, asserting that external achievements hold little value without inner contemplation and reform.
Finding Strength in Resistance
During his discourse, the spiritual leader spoke about the importance of facing resistance and adversity as part of divine guidance. He explained that challenges in life often serve as catalysts for spiritual awakening.
“When resistance comes, be happy that you are being blessed by God. It is inspiration to walk on the right path,” he said, adding that many great individuals transformed their lives after encountering hardships.
He encouraged self-reflection and self-improvement, urging listeners to “bring life onto the path of truth.” “If the right path is left, then think about all this for a second. Apna sudhar karlo, apne Jeevan ko satya me le aao. (Now improve yourself. Bring your life to the right path.) Then the next one will be very strong,” he said.
Early Morning Visit to Keli Kunj Ashram
The couple recently embarked on a spiritual visit to seek blessings from Premanand Maharaj at the Keli Kunj Ashram on Tuesday. The couple arrived at the ashram early in the morning, around 5:30 AM. They spent nearly an hour participating in prayers and devotional activities.
A video shared by the ashram’s YouTube channel Bhajan Marg shows Virat and Anushka sitting quietly among devotees in the ashram hall, attentively listening to the preaching and participating in kirtan.
Their spiritual visit came shortly after the birthday of their son, Akaay, on February 15, making the occasion particularly meaningful for the family.
