Mumbai: Three people, including two children, were injured after a portion of a house collapsed adjacent to a nullah in Punjabi Chawl, Hanuman Nagar, Bhandup West, at around 7 am. The three injured were immediately taken to Agarwal Hospital in Mulund and are said to be stable.Subsequently, the BMC has shifted eight residents to a night shelter. According to the BMC, a complaint was received about a tree fall at the location. When officials from the garden department, fire brigade, and BMC S-ward reached the spot, it was observed that a ground plus one house structure collapsed, and a tree was leaning on an adjacent house.Staff from the garden department carried out pruning of the tree, while debris from the house structure was shifted by the S-ward staff. The injured have been identified as Vanita Sawant (65), Yogesh Pal (5), and Manisha Pal (9).
