Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has added a new chapter to his life off the field by getting engaged to his partner Sarah Czarnuch. The couple shared the happy news on September 3, 2025, with Sarah posting a heartfelt message on Instagram. “On a boat off the coast of Spain, I said the easiest yes of my life,” she wrote, alongside a picture of the engagement ring sparkling against the backdrop of the sea.

Earlier this year in February, Stoinis retired from One Day Internationals to focus on T20 cricket. During his ODI career, which spanned 71 matches since his debut in 2015, he scored 1,495 runs at an average of 26.7 with a strike rate of 93.97. His tally included one century and six fifties, with a highest score of 146 not out against New Zealand in just his second match. With the ball, he claimed 48 wickets at an average of 43.13, with best figures of 3 for 16. He was also part of Australia’s 2023 World Cup-winning squad and was named the team’s ODI cricketer of the year in 2018-19. In T20 cricket, Stoinis has been an impactful all-rounder, featuring in 74 matches and scoring 1,245 runs at an average of 31.92 and a strike rate of 148.57. His batting record includes five fifties, with a top score of 78. With the ball, he has taken 45 wickets at an average of 24.24, with best figures of 4 for 23. Stoinis has also been a key performer in the Indian Premier League, representing Punjab Kings this year. In 109 IPL matches so far, he has scored 2,026 runs at an average of 28.14, including one century and nine fifties, with a highest score of 124.
