Navi Mumbai: Sanvi Shinde, a city girl from Navi Mumbai, represented Maharashtra and secured triple gold at the recently concluded Acrobatic Gymnastics National Championship in Uttarakhand. Competing in the junior category for ages 13 to 19 years, she emerged as champion in all her events. Training at Nerul Gymkhana, Shinde’s exceptional performance, characterised by unmatched skill, courage, and determination, earned her a place at the prestigious Asian Acrobatic Championship to be held in Goa later this year.Her coach and father, Vivek Shinde, who has been mentoring her for several years, stated, “Sanvi’s breathtaking routines, precision, and focus have inspired many, setting a new benchmark in her category.” Vikas Shetty, General Secretary of Nerul Gymkhana, said, “I am proud to say that our objective of starting gymnastics at Nerul Gymkhana was to keep children active, flexible, and striving for excellence. Sanvi’s achievement is a testament to our efforts, and we are proud that she is going to represent India in the Asian Acrobatic Championship to be held in Goa later this year.“Shinde won gold medals in Balance, Dynamic, and Combination categories. Additionally, she was part of the Maharashtra contingent that won silver in the junior group team championship. Vivek Shinde added, “I ensured that her foundation of gymnastics was strong. I am thankful to Nerul Gymkhana for providing the basic infrastructure to conduct gymnastics classes.”Sanvi Shinde said, “I am a student of the very first batch of gymnastics at Nerul Gymkhana, which commenced in 2021.
