Pune: District collector Jitendra Dudi said around 50 hectares of land were measured for the proposed Purandar airport on Friday — the first day of the survey — amid active participation from farmers and all agencies. Five teams used rover machines to carry out measurements in three villages — Ekhatpur, Munjawadi and Udaichiwadi — without any police deployment. Deputy collector (land acquisition) Kalyan Pandhare said the process remained peaceful.
