Mumbai: Harbour line services between Wadala Road and Mankhurd will remain suspended for over 14 hours this weekend as Central Railway (CR) takes up work on diversion lines between Kurla and Tilak Nagar. The special traffic and power block will be operated from 11.05 pm on Saturday, Sept 13, to 1.35 pm on Sunday, Sept 14.During the block, suburban trains will not be available on the stretch. All down Harbour line services leaving CSMT from 10.20 pm on Saturday to 1.19 pm on Sunday will remain cancelled, while up services from Panvel scheduled between 10.07 pm on Saturday and 12.56 pm on Sunday will also be cancelled.The last local before the block from Panvel to CSMT will depart at 9.52 pm on Saturday, while the last service from CSMT to Panvel will leave at 10.14 pm. After completion of the block, the first local from Panvel to CSMT will depart at 1.09 pm on Sunday, and the first service from CSMT will leave at 1.30 pm.To ease the inconvenience, CR will run special locals between Panvel and Mankhurd during the block. Officials said such mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upgrades and safety.
