Prime Video has shared first-look stills from Spider-Noir, the live-action Marvel adaptation led by Nicolas Cage in his first major television starring role. The series will debut domestically on MGM+ before launching globally on Prime Video in more than 240 territories.

Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the show reimagines the Spider-Verse through a Depression-era detective lens. Cage plays Ben Reilly, a former masked vigilante once known as “The Spider,” who now works as a private investigator in 1930s New York. After stepping away from his heroic identity following a personal tragedy, Reilly is drawn back into action when a new case forces him to confront his past.

The series will be available in two formats: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” allowing viewers to choose their preferred visual experience. Cage described the dual presentation as equally compelling, telling Esquire, “The truth is, they both work and they’re beautiful for different reasons.” He added that the monochrome version may encourage younger audiences to explore classic cinema as an art form.
Lamorne Morris co-stars as journalist Robbie Robertson, a longtime ally of Reilly. Li Jun Li plays nightclub performer Cat Hardy, while Karen Rodriguez appears as Janet, Reilly’s sharp and loyal secretary. The cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston, Abraham Popoola and others in key supporting roles.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer directs the first two episodes, with Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serving as co-showrunners. The project is executive produced by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal, the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
