Pune: The Maha Metro has appealed to citizens to seek prior permission for videography and photo-shooting at metro stations and in trains.The move followed a recently reported incident when a group of people videographed at the premises of Metro station without permission.Chandrashekhar Tambavekar, AGM (PR) at Maha Metro, told TOI, “The guidelines for videography and photo-shooting at metro stations have already been issued for the general public. Following the recent incident of videography being done without proper permissions, we are again appealing to citizens to seek permissions. Our team is gathering the details of the recent incident.”Tambavekar added that adequate staff has been deployed at all Metro stations, including the station in-charge. “Commuters can approach the station authorities to seek details on the guidelines. In the recent past, Maha Metro permitted the shooting of a movie on a commercial basis at one of the Metro stations after due permissions were issued,” Tambavekar said.Officials from Maha Metro said they were conducting an inquiry into the incident, and a fine would be imposed on those involved in shooting without permission. The Maha Metro has established detailed guidelines for videography and photo-shooting. Citizens were expected to adhere to these, officials said.
