MUMBAI: Actor Shraddha Kapoor’s and her brother Siddhant Kapoor appeared at the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) branch in Ghatkopar on Tuesday in connection with a high-value drug case. The case relates to the alleged manufacturing and trafficking of drugs worth Rs 250 crore. The summons follow disclosures by Mohammed Salim Sohail Shaikh, also known as Lavish, a drug supplier recently deported from Dubai, who has been linked to a Rs 252-crore mephedrone seizure in Sangli in March 2024. Earlier this week, social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, was also summoned in the investigation. Authorities say Shaikh claimed during interrogation that he organised rave parties in India and abroad, allegedly attended by several Bollywood celebrities. Shaikh, who had been living in Dubai for the past three years with his family, is reported to have coordinated between drug peddlers and supplied raw materials for drug manufacturing units across Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Rajasthan.
