Pune: A city walkathon organised by the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Pune, brought together officials from the RPO, CBI, city police, postal department and Tata Consultancy Services to promote cleaner and more transparent governance under the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2025.Leading the march, CBI Pune DIG Sarah Sharma emphasised preventive vigilance and the importance of inter-departmental cooperation in curbing malpractice. She said joint efforts were vital to building transparent, citizen-friendly systems.Regional Passport Officer Vinod Gaikwad highlighted the significant upgrades in passport services through simplified procedures and technology-driven monitoring, which have improved accessibility and reduced delays. He also urged citizens to actively participate in vigilance, noting that responsible involvement strengthens integrity across public-facing departments. The event additionally commemorated 150 years of Vande Mataram.
