Nashik: Some long-distance trains between Nashik and Mumbai continued to run late and were cancelled due to the rain.Officials of the Nashik Road Railway Station said some of the Mumbai-bound trains, which did not proceed on Tuesday, were cancelled for their return journey on Wednesday.“As the rain subsides in Mumbai, trains have started operating, though later than their scheduled time,” said a senior officer of the Nashik Road Railway Station. Many trains ran late by three to nearly 15 hours, these included Mumbai LTT- Balharshah SF Express, Mumbai LTT-Banaras SF Express, Mumbai LTT-Patliputra SF Express, Howrah Weekly SF Express, Amritsar Express, Mahanagari SF Express, Saket Express, and Mumbai LTT-Dibrugarh Express, among others.Senior officers said a helpdesk has been set up at the railway station to attend to passenger enquiries.tnn
