RLD chief receives death threat; call traced to Bengal

New Delhi: Union minister and RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary has received a death threat from an unknown caller on March 18. According to a complaint filed by his personal assistant, the minister received the threat call around 11am.Police said the caller has been traced to West Bengal.“The caller threatened to kill the minister. He asked whether I had seen the documents he had sent to my phone and, referred to weapons like such as MP5 guns,” the complainant told the police.The officials said the messages received from the number showed threatening remarks written on a government program of the minister. When the complainant called the number again to ask the source of the program, the caller claimed that it had been sent “from above.”
