Pune: The PMPML on Wednesday slapped a fine of Rs50,000 on a social media influencer, who had recently made a video aboard one of its buses while posing as a conductor. The influencer had borrowed the uniform and ticket vending machine of a PMPML conductor earlier this month while making the video. Transport body officials said that anyone making a reel or video inside a bus needs to take permission from the PMPML and pay a fee for the same. PMPML PRO Kishor Chauhan said that despite a notice being sent, the influencer did not explain his actions to the transport body. Chauhan added that the man was asked to pay the fine within seven days, failing which an FIR would be lodged against him.
