PUNE: A plane carrying NCP chief Ajit Pawar crashed while attempting an emergency landing in Maharashtra’s Baramati on Wednesday morning, as per sources.Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar was on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.He was taken to hospital and is in serious condition.According to sources, the leader was scheduled to visit Baramati for an event related to the zilla panchayat elections, where his plane crashed at 8:45am.Visuals aired on news channels showed the aircraft’s wreckage engulfed in flames. According to preliminary reports, the aircraft encountered difficulties during its final approach, resulting in a crash on the runway. (This is a developing story.)
