Navi Mumbai’s convicted drug kingpin’s assets of Rs 10 crore attached

Mumbai: The office of competent authority and administrator under Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act, 1976 and NDPS Act has confirmed the attachment of movable and immovable properties worth Rs 10 crore belonging to deported drug kingpin Navin Chichkar, following an order by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai.Chichkar, who was deported from Malaysia in July this year, had been operating an international drug network and was named in multiple narcotics cases probed by the NCB and Navi Mumbai police.The attached properties include 15 bank accounts, seized cash, and five immovable assets across Maharashtra. The case stems from the seizure of 11.5 kg cocaine, 4.9 kg ganja, and 5.5 kg cannabis gummies on Jan 31 this year, which led to the arrest of nine accused, including Chichkar.
