Narela fatal stabbing: Delhi Police arrests three brothers from Bihar

New Delhi: Nearly four months after a man was stabbed to death in north Delhi, Delhi Police has arrested three brothers from Begusarai district in Bihar in connection with the murder. The arrests were made in a case registered at Narela Industrial Area police station relating to a fatal stabbing incident on Sept 20, 2025. The accused —Manish, Rajesh and Raja — had been on the run since the incident. Non-bailable warrants had already been issued against them. Police said the case was filed based on a complaint by Akbar, who alleged that the accused had previously threatened him and his brother, Raja, over a dispute. On Sept 20, at JJ Colony in Bawana, Manish and his brothers, along with their associates, allegedly carried out a premeditated attack on Akbar and his companions. During the assault, Badshah, a close friend of the complainant, was stabbed multiple times. He collapsed on the spot and later died. The accused fled immediately after the incident, triggering a multi-state manhunt. Investigators identified Manish, a known bad character of Bawana police station, as the prime suspect. “Technical surveillance and local intelligence revealed that the accused were constantly changing locations and had gone into hiding in Bihar. Acting on specific inputs, a team traced and arrested them from Begusarai on Jan 8,” DCP (Crime) Pankaj Kumar said. During interrogation, the trio allegedly confessed to their involvement in the killing. Police said the motive was revenge over an earlier quarrel in which Rajesh had suffered injuries. Manish (25) is reportedly involved in over 35 criminal cases, including theft, Arms Act violations and attempt to murder. His brothers Rajesh (26) and Raja (24) also have multiple criminal cases registered against them.
