Mumbai: The BMC has announced that the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Garden and Zoo will remain open on August 27 and will remain closed on August 28. The botanical garden and zoo in Byculla (East) area remains closed every Wednesday for the weekly holiday. However, when a public holiday falls on Wednesday, the garden and zoo is kept open for the public that day and is kept closed the next day, according to a resolution previously approved by BMC. Therefore, according to this resolution, Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Garden and Zoo will remain open to the public on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.
