Mumbai: BJP corporator Makarand Narwekar has demanded a halt to the ongoing construction of aspirational toilets in south Mumbai citing violations of state govt orders and sought the submission of a long-pending inquiry report of aspirational toilets. Civic officials pointed out that BMC is not carrying out any construction activities after industries minister Uday Samant’s directive to stay the work. Narwekar said despite the minister’s clear directive to stay all work pending an inquiry, construction has reportedly resumed.
