MUMBAI: An FIR has been registered against a retired police officer for sexually harassing a minor girl inside the lift of a Borivali East housing society. Kasturba Marg Police said the accused has been charged under the provisions of the POCSO Act.The 67-year-old accused, a retired police inspector, lives in the same society as the 9-year-old victim. On Sunday, the victim took the lift when the accused allegedly touched her inappropriately and attempted to kiss her. The girl was alarmed and later informed her mother, who then approached Kasturba Marg police.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
