Mumbai police arrest 5 Bangladeshi nationals from Oshiwara for illegal stay

Mumbai: Five Bangladeshi nationals, four of them women, were arrested by Oshiwara police for living in India illegally. A seven-year-old girl was also found with the group. Oshiwara police have shared her details with the Special Branch of Mumbai Police and the Foreign Nationals Registration Officer.Police acted on specific information and apprehended the group on Wednesday. On quizzing them, documents and identity cards proving their nationality were found. Their cellphones were examined and regular calls and contact with other Bangladeshi nationals was found. The action was taken by a team led by senior inspector Sanjay Chavan and deputy commissioner of police Dikshitkumar Gedam.
