Pune: The Pune unit of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Friday released its manifesto for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections, promising a 40% tax rebate for regular taxpayers and strict action against the Koyata Gang to help make the city crime-free.Announcing the manifesto, MNS Pune city unit chief Sainath Babar said it outlines a wide range of measures to address key civic challenges, including issues related to traffic, public transport, education, and social welfare. “The candidates fielded by our alliance will work in accordance with this agenda,” he said.
“The manifesto has been prepared keeping in mind all sections of society, such as senior citizens, women, children and residents of slum areas,” he added. According to the manifesto, the party plans several initiatives to improve traffic management in the city. These include upgrading traffic signal systems, increasing the number of traffic wardens to 1,000, and creating large public parking facilities in civic areas, including locations near metro rail stations.The MNS also made an announcement to make Pune city plastic-free, along with various other steps for safeguarding the environment.
