Mumbai: MNS’ insistence on a particular route, deviating from the normal route sanctioned for demonstrations, led to the police commissioner refusing nod for the morcha, said CM Devendra Fadnavis. He said permission is given to all to hold morchas. “This is a democratic country, and we give permissions to all. I inquired with the CP… He informed that police had inputs some of them were likely to do something. Police told them to take take the usual route, which they refused. Any deliberate attempt to disturb law and order is not appropriate,” he said. TNN
