New Delhi: A 13-year-old boy who went missing from central Delhi left his parents anxious and police scrambling, only to be found the next morning at an Instagram influencer meetup in east Delhi’s Anand Vihar. While his mother was busy with chores, he quietly left home, spent the night outside and headed to the event the next morning, drawn by his interest in Haryanvi rap and social media fame.“The boy left home around 5 pm on Saturday without informing anyone and did not return till late night, prompting his anxious parents to report the matter to police,” DCP (central) Nidhin Valsan said. A case of kidnapping under Section 137 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was subsequently registered at the Prasad Nagar police station.Given the boy’s age and the concern of possible abduction or online luring, multiple police teams were formed. The teams launched an immediate and wide-ranging search both on the ground and across digital platforms.“While field units checked vacant buildings and alerted local informers, another team began monitoring the boy’s online activity. The information of the missing child was shared with informers, but no clue was found. However, during technical surveillance, a team discovered a fresh story posted from the boy’s Instagram handle, indicating he was at RCB Banquet Hall in Anand Vihar,” DCP Valsan said. The boy was found at the venue. An investigating officer said that the minor had a significant following on social media, where he regularly posted Haryanvi rap videos. Many young content creators like him gathered for the event. “He was brought back to the police station and then handed over to his parents.” New Delhi: A 13-year-old boy who went missing from central Delhi left his parents anxious and police scrambling, only to be found the next morning at an Instagram influencer meetup in east Delhi’s Anand Vihar.
