New Delhi: A 35-year-old man died on Wednesday in Najafgarh, southwest Delhi, a day after allegedly strangling his wife over her social media activity and attempting to end his own life by consuming poison.The deceased, identified as Aman, lived with his wife Rajni, 30, and their two sons in Old Roshanpura. An inquiry revealed that he had ingested poison and succumbed during treatment.Police received a PCR call at approximately 4:23 a.m. on Tuesday and dispatched a team to the scene following reports of a murder. Upon their arrival, Aman was found collapsed and unconscious. Emergency services transported him to Rao Tula Ram Hospital for initial treatment. Due to the severity of his condition, he was later referred to DDU Hospital for advanced care. Aman was receiving medical treatment under police custody at the time.According to police, the couple had been involved in a heated argument during which Aman objected to Rajni’s online presence. He allegedly strangled Rajni before consuming poison and attempting to hang himself. TNN
