Mumbai: State forest dept has been directed to submit a four-year plan to increase the state’s forest cover to 33%. At a review meeting of the 150-day e-governance programme held at Sahyadri state guest house on Friday, CM Devendra Fadnavis directed the dept to submit the plan within three months and suggested that efforts be made to increase the forest cover in Marathwada and in areas where it is less.CS Ramesh Kumar, who was given a three-month extension, suggested that instead of every dept creating its own dashboard, there should be a single dashboard for the state, and everyone should provide a link to their work on it. Similarly, there should be uniformity in the case of chatbot, Digilocker, Gatishakti portal, etc. There should be an appeal facility in the Aaple Sarkar portal, and all types of certificates should be available online. The 150-day programme included tasks such as creating e-governance facilities, Aaple Sarkar, e-office, dashboard, website updating, disaster management, etc. Based on the work done, every dept was evaluated, and those scoring the highest mark in each category were asked to make a presentation on the work done. In the zilla parishad category, Nagpur district, from the District Collector category, Jalgaon District Collector, the municipal corporation category, Pune Municipal Corporation, and several others made a presentation.
