Maharashtra state board to provide free counselling to students appearing for HSC, SSC exams | Pune News



Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced would offer free counselling services to students appearing for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC, Std XII) exam scheduled from Feb 10 to March 18 and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC, Std X) exam scheduled from Feb 20 to March 18.These examinations will be held through divisional boards located in Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. “Trained counsellors will be available to provide free tele-counselling to students between 8am and 8pm, both before and during the examination period. Students and parents should refrain from contacting the counsellors for queries related to exam centres, seating arrangements or question papers,” state board secretary Deepal Mali said.The counselling initiative aims to support students who may experience exam-related anxiety, stress or negative thoughts. To help them manage mental pressure and stay focused, the state board has appointed counsellors who will offer guidance over the phone.
