New Delhi: NCRTC has set up a lost and found centre at Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station to reunite commuters with their possessions accidentally left behind or lost in the trains or at stations on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, officials said on Monday.To date, more than 160 forgotten valuables of commuters were returned to their rightful owners. The items include laptops, smartphones, wristwatches, educational documents, medical reports, wallets containing cash, earbuds, Bluetooth devices, trolley bags, iPads, car and bike keys, books, and other items including clothes.“Commuters can easily access information about their lost items by simply clicking on the option of ‘Lost and Found’ provided in the Namo Bharat Connect app. A list of found items, along with details of where and when they were found, is available under this head. Once they identify their lost item, they can contact the Lost and Found Centre located at Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station. They can retrieve their valuables after presenting the required verification. Commuters can also contact the controller of the concerned station to acquire information immediately after losing their valuables. The control room numbers of all stations are also available in the Station Facilities option of the Namo Bharat Connect app,” stated NCRTC, adding that items unclaimed for six months shall be scrapped.
