Pune: A lawyer (41) foiled a robbery attempt when she chased away a thief who entered her Dhankawdi flat around 1pm on Friday.Later in the evening, the woman lodged a complaint with the Sahakarnagar police station.According to the police, the woman was in her bedroom while her daughter (17) was in the living room. At this moment, knocks were heard at the door. The girl opened the door behind and ran towards the bedroom.The suspect, according to the police, entered the flat and walked behind the girl. When the lawyer saw him, she confronted him and pushed him outside the flat. During the confrontation, the suspect threatened her of dire consequences. Despite the threats, she kept on pushing him and raised an alarm. Her husband stays in another city for job.The suspect fled from the flat and the lawyer followed him. They reached the parking area. The thief sped away on his two-wheeler by the time she reached the spot. She, however, could take a photograph of the suspect on her cellphone as he was speeding away. The lawyer submitted the photograph to the police for further investigation.
