Shah Rukh Khan in ‘King’

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming actioner, King, finally has a release date. The Siddharth Anand directorial will be released in theatres on December 24 this year, the superstar announced on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
A short promo was unveiled to make the announcement which features Shah Rukh standing atop a snow-capped mountain. “It is time to roar,” the text proclaims. Then, Shah Rukh makes a stylised landing from a glass ceiling and dons an intense look, covered in some blood. The promo ends with the superstar raising his fist to punch someone.
Earlier, a teaser of the film was released which gave a glimpse into its high-octane, bloody world of action.
King has Deepika Padukone starring as the female lead, marking her sixth collaboration with Shah Rukh. Notably, the superstar’s daughter, Suhana Khan, actor Jaideep Ahlawat and Akshay Oberoi will also play pivotal roles in the film.
King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
