This move follows the government’s decision to slash GST rates on passenger vehicles, aimed at making car ownership more affordable and giving a push to the auto industry ahead of the festive season. Besides Kia, several other mass market and luxury car manufacturers confirmed that they will be passing the benefits directly to the customers. Speaking on the development, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the reforms reflect a “progressive and timely decision” that will not only ease affordability but also support industry growth. He added that Kia’s decision to transfer the entire benefit underscores its commitment to accessibility and customer value.Stay tuned to TOI Auto for latest updates around the automotive sector and do follow us on our social media handles on Facebook, Instagram and X.
