Mumbai: Kandivali police arrested two men, Chandtabhushan Chauhan and Vijaykumar Chauhan, both aged between 40 and 45, for the alleged murder of Ramlakhan Yadav (60) over a property dispute in Kandivli West in Sept 2025.Police said the Yadav and Chauhan families were involved in a dispute for several days over a property in Laljipada, Kandivli West. On Sept 5, the accused allegedly forcefully entered Yadav’s residence, claimed ownership of the property, and began verbally abusing and physically assaulting him and his family members. Police said they attacked them with sticks, bamboo stumps and stones, and Yadav sustained serious injuries.
His family rushed him to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli West, where doctors treated him and later discharged him. The next day, he complained of chest pain and his family took him back to the hospital at around 5.30 pm. While undergoing treatment in the ICU, doctors declared him dead at around 7.45 pm.“Five accused in the case were arrested then was later released on bail. However, Chandtabhushan Chauhan and Vijaykumar Chauhan had absconded at that time. A special team were formed to trace and arrest the two accused,” said the police.
