Pune: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said adequate security measures would be taken for the safety of deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar against the backdrop of some reports that the SIT, investigating the astrologer Ashok Kharat case, received a letter stating that there was threat to her life.Interacting with reporters in Purandar, Fadnavis said, “Maharashtra police have a great track record. While they will be investigating the details of the letter, necessary security for Sunetra Vahini will be ensured. We will take utmost care of her.”Cabinet minister Sanjay Shirsat advised Sunetra to be extra careful. “When a woman reaches an important post in politics, she has to face some challenges. Therefore, while SIT will be carrying out an investigation of the letter, Sunetra Vahini should be careful,” he said.
