Govt firm on fixing Navale Bridge woes, dy CM Shinde to visit site soon: Samant | Pune News



Pune: Shiv Sena leader and state minister Uday Samant on Thursday said govt is committed to finding a permanent solution to the recurring accidents at Navale Bridge, stressing the need for a detailed study by technical experts to prevent such incidents in the future.Samant, who inspected the accident spot, said deputy CM Eknath Shinde will also visit the site soon and meet villagers who have been alleging govt inaction. “Officials have informed me that the steep gradient is a major factor. Drivers lose control of their vehicles, which leads to these mishaps,” he said.He added that govt will roll out corrective measures in two stages, immediate safety interventions followed by long-term structural solutions.
