Navi Mumbai: Nerul police booked four engineering college students for performing a ‘dangerous’ stunt in a moving car along the Nerul railway station road on March 18 around 5.30 pm.After the stunt video went viral on Tuesday, the police took suo motu cognisance of the offence and traced the car driver from the registration number, while his three friends are being traced. In the video, three youths are seen sitting on the open window panes with their upper bodies out of the moving car. Ajay Kamble, senior inspector of Nerul, said, “An FIR was registered against Nawaz Mulla (21), who was at the wheel, Aryan Patil (21), Atharva Gaikwad (21) and Kaustubh Rathod (21).” Kamble said, “Mulla was detained and given a strict warning. He was served with a notice directing him to cooperate in the police investigation. The three other accused will also be detained and served with a notice.”
