Focus on job creation, says Jagdale | Pune News



Pune: Students should move beyond the conventional mindset of seeking jobs and instead focus on creating employment opportunities, said Dr Rajendra Jagdale, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Science and Technology Parks, during the inauguration of the fourth international conference on ‘Emerging Trends and Technology’ (ICETT-26). The conference was organised by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication at ISBM College of Engineering. Jagdale emphasised that highly educated students should leverage creativity and innovation to launch startups, particularly in cutting-edge fields such as semiconductors, hydrogen technologies, and artificial intelligence. Highlighting the importance of sustainable development, he pointed out that poor urban planning has led cities like Delhi to face severe pollution challenges. He urged educated youth to take responsibility for proper waste management and rural planning. He also informed students that the Union government provides substantial funding and fellowships to support innovative startup ideas through its ministries.The three-day ICETT-26 conference will deliberate on sustainable development goals for 2030 and emerging domains such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and biotechnology. International researcher Walida Unruen interacted with participants online. The event also witnessed the release of the “Indian Journal Digital Book.”
