Pune: Armed dacoits looted gold jewellery worth Rs 52 lakh after threatening the store owner in Shewalwadi near Hadapsar on Saturday evening.The store owner lodged a complaint with the Manjari police on Sunday who registered a case against the five suspects. The shop is located on Pune-Solapur highway. Around 5.30pm on Saturday, four suspects entered the shop pretending to be customers while their accomplice waited outside.They threatened the store owner with a billhook and warned him against raising an alarm. They collected all the jewellery from the display trays into a bag and on two-wheelers.Police teams are studying the CCTV footage from the area to ascertain the registration number plates of the vehicles and the identities of the suspects.
