First merit list for FYJC with cut-off marks & allotted colleges out today

Pune: The merit list for first year junior college (FYJC, Std XI) in the regular centralised admission process (CAP) round will be announced on Thursday. Colleges allotted to students for admission and the cut-off for the first round will be declared. Starting this year, the FYJC admission process is being conducted centrally online across the state. More than 12 lakh students registered for over 21 lakh seats available in 9,435 junior colleges across the state.The announcement of allotment for the regular round, displaying details in student and college logins, and announcing college cut-offs will be made on Thursday by the CAP committee. Director of secondary education Shriram Panzade said, “Students must confirm admission by visiting the allotted college, where authorities will verify the details and documents in the students’ applications to finalise admissions.”Cancellation of admission, new student registration, and filling Part One of the admission form will also be addressed. Additional time will be given to colleges to update the portal with information on admitted students. The display of vacant seats, online registration of ‘CAP’ options for the next round, and locking Part Two, allowing existing registered students to edit Part One, will also be part of the process. The allotment for the first regular round will be declared on the admission portal on Thursday. On the same day, students will be able to view the name of the college allotted to them through their login, and colleges will also have access to the same information.Students will also receive SMS notifications, and the cut-off for the first regular round will be announced. The list of students eligible for admission will be displayed in the login portal, with SMS notifications to be sent to students as the first regular round cut-off is announced.
