MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a BMC staff bus near Panch Khadda, Kanjurgaon, on the Eastern Express Highway in Kanjurmarg (East) on Friday morning.According to officials, the incident occurred around 7.15 am when the bus, travelling from Bhandup Pumping Station to Bhandup Station, caught fire. The driver and three staff members managed to get down safely before the flames spread.Fire brigade and police teams were mobilised, and the blaze was brought under control by 7.49 am. The fire was confined to bus number MH01 CR 2152.No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
