Pune: A farmer and his son were arrested on Thursday on the charge of bludgeoning former’s nephew to death at Parwadi village in Baramati taluka, about 105km from the city, late on Wednesday night.The Baramati takuka police identified the deceased as Saurabh Ingle (24) of Parwadi. The two accused have been charged under section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).An officer from the Baramati Taluka police said the murder was the result of a dispute over the construction of a toilet on the victim’s land. “Late on Wednesday night, the victim had heated arguments with his uncle and cousin over the construction. Following which, the duo brutally beat him up,” the officer said.He said the victim’s relatives took him to a private hospital in Baramati, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment. In the meantime, both the accused approached the police to lodge a complaint against the victim.“While the police were talking with the two, they received information about the victim’s death in the hospital. The accused were immediately taken into custody,” he said.
