Pune: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Pune seized several exotic animals smuggled on a flight from Bangkok, officials said. Sources said seven animals, including rare monkeys, were recovered, though one monkey was found dead. The IndiGo flight landed in Pune at 3.26 am, and a man and a woman were caught attempting to smuggle the animals in check-in baggage. Authorities indicated the incident may be linked to an international smuggling ring, and investigations are underway.
