Eight women from Bangladesh arrested in Budhwar Peth for staying illegally in India

Pune: The Faraskhana police arrested eight women, all from Bangladesh, from Budhwar Peth on Wednesday for staying illegally in India.The police carried out simultaneous raids at different brothels on Wednesday, in which these women were identified.Senior inspector Prashant Bhasme of the Faraskhana police said, “The women came to India after crossing the Bangladesh border illegally around a year ago. Agents sold them to brothel keepers, who forced them into the flesh trade. All of them have some or the other documents as ID cards issued by Bangladesh govt.”Police have now decided to initiate the process to deport the eight women.
