Navi Mumbai: A 28-year-old doctor at a private hospital in Kharghar has been booked for stalking and outraging the modesty of a 27-year-old nurse who works at the same hospital. The nurse registered a criminal offence at Kharghar police station on Saturday, alleging that the doctor had been stalking her since last month, following her near her Sanpada residence and forcing her to speak to him. The nurse has stated that when she was on duty at the hospital’s emergency department on Friday, around 8am, the doctor approached her once again, asking her to talk to him. When she refused, he pulled her uniform skirt, she has said, adding that she found it offensive, after which she lodged a police complaint.Senior inspector of Kharghar police station, Deepak Surve, said, “The doctor was summoned to the police station for inquiry. We have learnt from WhatsApp messages shared between them that the two were in a relationship that turned sour.
