PUNE: Bavdhan resident Shweta Ashish Dhut has recreated a six-and-a-half-foot replica of the iconic Adiyogi Shiva idol from Coimbatore, right inside her home. The Dhut family, who visit the sacred Isha Foundation in Coimbatore every Mahashivratri, has long been inspired by the grandeur and creative brilliance of the Adiyogi statue. Motivated by the divine energy they experience there, the family decided to bring a piece of that inspiration home by crafting a beautiful Adiyogi idol entirely out of thermocol.Every detail, from the serene facial expressions to the intricate features, was sculpted with painstaking effort and deep devotion — resulting in a perfect blend of artistry and spirituality. The striking idol now stands gracefully behind the family’s Ganesh idol, radiating a sense of beauty, devotion, and spiritual energy. In the soft glow of decorative lights, the idol almost appears alive, evoking a sense of peace and reverence among those who see it.Recalling the creation process, Shweta Dhut said that sculpting the face of the Adiyogi idol was a deeply moving experience. “As the facial lines took shape, I felt goosebumps. It was as if the idol’s calm smile was spreading joy and peace all around,” she said.“This creation is a true testament to our family’s creativity, spiritual connection, and love for art,” added Shweta Ashish Dhut, Patil Nagar, Bavdhan.
