NEW DELHI: Delhi Police arrested two suspects, Abdullah and Prince Ghazi, for the murder of Misbah, a 22-year-old member of the Hashim Baba gang, who was shot dead by assailants in Northeast Delhi’s Seelampur on Thursday night. Both suspects are reportedly connected to their boss Chenu.The shooting incident was reported at Seelampur around 10.40PM. Police found an injured person near Jama Masjid Seelampur who was rushed to JPC Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.The deceased, Misbah, had a criminal record with seven cases registered against him, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act.In a separate operation, Delhi Police Special Task Force and Pul Prahladpur Police arrested Himanshu, a 23-year-old wanted robber, following a brief shootout near Badarpur Flyover Park on October 25. During the exchange of fire, Himanshu sustained a bullet injury to his right leg and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.Police recovered a .32 bore semi-automatic pistol with two live cartridges and four empty cartridges from the scene. Two cartridges were fired by the accused and two by the police team.“The accused was wanted in an armed robbery case of PS Pul Prahladpur wherein he, along with his associate Kaushal, had robbed a Domino’s delivery boy on October 22, 2025. The video of this robbery had gone viral on social media,” police said.“Accused Himanshu has a criminal history of three previous cases of kidnapping and robbery/snatching. He was released from jail in June 2025 and had become active again in street crimes,” police added.Further investigation into the Misbah murder case is ongoing, with more details awaited from the Delhi Police.
