New Delhi: The city on Friday experienced a humid day with very light to light rain in patches, which did not impact traffic or lead to waterlogging. The impact of the rain was less as the low-pressure area is now shifting. Safdarjung recorded only 0.1mm of rainfall until 5.30 pm, while the skies remained clear. The heat index was 43 degrees Celsius during the afternoon. The weather department, however, expected moderate showers in isolated parts and light rain thereafter. So far in September, Safdarjung has logged 84.2mm of rainfall.The maximum temperature at the base station was 33.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature on Saturday will likely go up to 35 degrees Celsius, with light rain expected in some areas. Meanwhile, the air quality remained satisfactory with AQI at 67.
